Our Mission
In 2004, Kean University established the New Jersey Center for Science, Technology, and Mathematics Education to meet the State's need for qualified science and mathematics teachers, physicians, and scientific researchers. The academic programs are designed to (1) produce exceptional educators, skilled and motivated to teach science and mathematics, especially in urban school districts; (2) develop well-trained research professionals to support and advance scientific and technological innovation; and (3) train scientist-physicians to practice medicine in New Jersey.
